Janet Polach, Ph.D

Janet is a distinguished executive coach, speaker, and author with more than 30 years of leadership and coaching experience. As a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps, she understands what it means to lead with resilience, clarity, and purpose. For the past two decades, she has applied that expertise as a global executive coach, working with leaders in the U.S., China, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Puerto Rico, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
In her coaching, Janet helps executives, senior leaders, and high-potential managers overcome challenges, strengthen team performance, and achieve lasting impact. She specializes in executive coaching for leadership development, conflict resolution, and team alignment, drawing on her belief that effective leadership is built on commitment to mission, clear expectations, and the ability to adapt and overcome obstacles.
Janet is also the author of Seven Mistakes New Managers Make and the founder of In the Lead, Inc., where she equips leaders to grow with confidence and clarity. She holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Leadership Development from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. in Education from East Carolina University, and a B.S. in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Stout.
